| All email lists managed by the Center for
International Disaster Information require subscribers to confirm their
intent to subscribe or may be added specifically by the list administrator
at the request of the subscriber. Each outgoing message includes
information on how to unsubscribe, which can be done by sending an email.
In addition, if there are any issues or difficulties of unsubscribing, the
list administrator will respond to personal requests.
Nearly every list is for
distribution of information and does not accept email from any source other
than a
list administrator.
Email addresses are not available to any other member of the list.
E-mail addresses are not given to any other list management under any
arrangement. The only list a subscriber will be signed into is the one
to which he or she has subscribed. Email addresses are not available
to third parties. That is, email addresses are used solely for receipt
from published CIDI lists and once an email address is removed from all
subscriptions, there is no record of that address archived. Once it is
removed from all lists, it is gone.
Never will a list request sensitive or personal information from
subscribers. There are no advertisement banners or advertisement links
included with email for the list.
Issues of concern can be addressed to the e-mail address given on the
front page of the web site.
