| All information related to offers of goods or
service by the Center for
International Disaster Information is kept in a searchable database for use
by agencies involved in response to natural disaster and humanitarian
incidents. Contact information is not used by the CIDI for any activity
unrelated to the offer. Registrants should note, however, that access
and review of the information by other agencies is possible by the agreement
of the registrant. On each form completed with an offer of goods or
service, the registrant is required to indicate their agreement for sharing
the information. In cases where the registrant specifies no in the
field for sharing the information, the information is not placed in the
database and thereby is not made
available to other agencies.
At any time a registrant may request to have reference to his or her offer
removed from the data set, this is possible by demonstrating to the CIDI
that he or she is the originator of the information.
